Description:

Job Title: Key Account Manager

Location: Field-based (Some national travel) and Stourport office based

£37K + quarterly bonus (£7500) + car/allowance (circa 50K package)

Job Purpose:

Manage a portfolio of 30 upper-tier accounts, preventing erosion, and driving growth through strategic development and cross-selling. Occasional travel may be required.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and execute a business plan aligned with organisational goals.

Contract Management:

  • Renegotiate lapsed contracts and establish new agreements.

Strategic Development:

  • Implement strategies with the After Sales Manager for new services and products.

Account Reviews and Projects:

  • Conduct strategic reviews for growth and profitability.
  • Manage project delivery within agreed timelines.

Communication and Negotiation:

  • Utilise effective presentation, negotiation, and influence skills.
  • Address client concerns and manage escalated calls.

Compliance and Database Management:

  • Assist with compliance activities, such as supplier waste audits.
  • Oversee key accounts to optimise contract revenue.

Reporting and Targets:

  • Provide regular reports to the manager on sales activities and key client advancements.
  • Achieve individual quarterly sales targets.

Client Satisfaction and Collaboration:

  • Understand clients needs and propose solutions aligned with their goals.
  • Monitor service delivery to ensure consistency with contractual obligations.
