An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development/Sales Manager to join an independent law firm to lead the sales and marketing of the firm's Cyber offering in the external market.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a new team and the firm are looking for people who will thrive in an agile environment. The function works with technically savvy colleagues and clients, and a level of technical expertise is required. You will understand how best to market professional services, and how to create demand for the firm's services. The individual will work with the leadership team to develop and plan a marketing and sales strategy, tracking and reporting on the overall effectiveness of the strategy and programs and developing and managing relevant KPIs, and will also take ownership of the full sales cycle form generating leads, presenting services, pricing, negotiation and closing. The Senior Business Development/Sales Manager will liaise with Consulting and Investigations Directors to scope service offerings and to develop service specific marketing programs and service and sector specific messaging and work closely with Business Development teams, Digital Marketing and other stakeholders to implement marketing and sales programs. You will be responsible for planning and executing internal and external face-to-face events, market intelligence and research, creation of collateral and sales tools and management of the thought leadership process, working with others in the team to develop research and eminence activities such as white papers, presentations and media pieces. It is also essential that the successful applicant works to build a marketing and sales capability, laying the foundations for the firm to grow in the future and to scale marketing and sales activities.
The ideal candidate will be a bright graduate or equivalent with an in-depth knowledge of sales, marketing and business development in a professional services environment, preferable legal, and is comfortable working from the strategic to the hands-on implementation of marketing and sales programs. The Senior Business Development/Sales Manager will be innovative, creative and able to make a real impact and must be highly motivated and eager to become part of the growth plans for Cyber more broadly. This role will have the opportunity to evolve over time, and as such a flexible and forward looking approach is essential.
