Customer Account Manager - B2B Retentions
Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
£20,000 + Bonus
We are looking for an experienced Customer Account Manager with excellent rapport building, negotiation and influencing skills to join the Customer Account Management and Retentions team of a thriving Professional Services company in Peterborough. Excellent training and long term career progression is on offer to the right person - this is a company that has grown significantly in 2018 and doesn't plan to stop in 2019!
As a Customer Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing B2B customers through their contract renewal process, with a focus on retaining customers and negotiating a competitive monthly renewal rate that meets both the company and customer objectives. Customers are typically on a 3 year contract and will have built a strong relationship with the company over that time.
PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a call centre role. It is an office based customer account management role within a professional services environment.
To succeed in this position you will have a very professional approach to customer service and account management and will be adept at managing customers' expectations. Your rapport building, negotiating and influencing skills will be at a high level and you will be used to using these skills to achieve mutual beneficial agreements. This role has a strong technical element (the company specialises in IT systems and services) so you will have to be confident on a PC but, we stress that you don't have to be a guru as all training will be provided. It is essential that you are well organised and can prioritise your own work load as things can get pretty busy in peak periods - and your ability to work as a valued team member will no doubt help when things get really manic.
This role will suit someone from a Customer Service, Customer Retentions, Account Management, Credit Control or Debt Collection background - there is no credit control or debt collection activity required in this role, but it will utilise your rapport building and negotiation skills!
