Excellent opportunity for an experienced Account Manager to join a dynamic, expanding international organisation.

The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for supporting the Strategic Account Director in managing the most important strategic customer accounts in the Travel business at WEX.

The Strategic Account Manager will be an expert in our process, systems and platforms and collaborate with other internal teams to deliver on client expectations. In collaboration with the Strategic Account Director, the Strategic Account Manager must build and maintain a strong relationship with the client. The successful role holder will support the operational needs of all key client matters and work within the client to ensure deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities of the Strategic Account Manager:

  • Develop a solid, trusting and mutually beneficial relationship between the client and WEX.
  • Daily interactions with customers
  • Develop a complete understanding of the customer's needs across their organisation
  • Respond in a timely manner to all of the client's operational needs to provide outstanding customers service
  • Manage communications between the client and internal teams
  • Regular meetings face to face with customers
  • Analyse client data to improve service to the client
  • Meeting all agreed upon client needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines.
  • Looking for account growth opportunities

Experience You'll Bring:

  • Previous experience in relationship management or account management, preferably within the payments or financial services industry
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the EMEA region
  • Understanding or willingness to understand API
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence within client organisations
  • Able to analyse data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions and customer service
  • Goal-oriented, organised team player
  • Strong problem solving capabilities
  • Deep knowledge of the payments industry, with a focus on corporate payments and solutions, preferably in the travel industry
