Working for a large established industrial agriculture and plant factory you will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team.

Role Summary:

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will create, manage and uphold a productive customer relationship in order to maintain/increase sales and profitability via sales and promotional activity and through the analysis and presentation of market data.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the commercial executive to deliver the day-to-day commercial activity. Including, forecasting, sales data review, customer supply chain engagement and order amendment management.
  • Full accountability for the financial performance, growth and successful delivery of your assigned customer accounts.
  • Promote, advance, develop and manage the customer relationship to ensure accurate and regular communication of trading activity. Uphold the supplier reputation and deliver on Service Level Agreements (SLAs), budget and rebate rates.
  • Fully utilise the market data analysis prepared by the group Marketing Manager to maximise sales and profit opportunities whilst recommending improvements for problem areas to maintain the ongoing support service and trading relationship.
  • Research, analyse, develop, plan and provide points of difference to existing and new product development via promotions, packaging, varieties, seasonal availability in order to grow market share, increase profit, monopolise the market on products, close the gap on competitors and increase point of difference.
  • Produce and analyse weekly customer reports.
  • Maintain awareness and communication links with category stakeholders, as well as additional packaging requirements, supply chain efficiency, quality levels and a consistent flow of business information.
  • Inspect, benchmark, deliver and maintain against joint business plans.

Skills and Experience:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and positive attitude to improvement.
  • Demonstrable ability to negotiate, communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Exceptional listening, influencing and relationship building skills.
  • High level of analytical and numerical skills with an understanding of the financial impact of commercial decisions, budgetary control, and cost management.
  • Strategy development and execution.
  • Excellent IT skills including working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Applications.
  • The ability to undertake foreign travel when required.
