New Role: Commercial Analytics Manager Location: Central London (onsite role) Key Skills: Commercial Analytics, Sports Marketing, Data Analytics, Excel, Financial Impact Metrics Exciting new role to join a globally renowned sports organisation as a Commercial Analytics Manager. The Purpose: The Manager will lead the Commercial Analytics team that is responsible for equipping the Club s Commercial Sales team with industry-leading narratives that showcase the unique opportunities delivered via a partnership with the Club. Key Responsibilities: • Utilising your subject matter expertise and strong analytical background, you will help shape the Club s proposition to prospective commercial partners. This will involve creating a robust data + analytics framework to enable a highly bespoke approach for each prospect. • This role is crucial to guiding the development of strategic partnerships during the sales process. • Analytics interpretation leading to implications is the name of the game and is what creates our competitive advantage. • Initial responsibility will be to create a roadmap to integrate new Commercial Analytics capabilities into the go-to-market process, which will require onboarding sessions with key stakeholders. • Line management of the Commercial Analysts will involve performance development responsibilities, technical upskilling and broader career mentoring • The typical workflow for the Commercial Analytics team is: Scoping sessions with Sales Managers. Overseeing and creating a value-add by shaping Commercial Analysts work. Briefing sessions with Sales Managers to present the findings. Key Skills Required: • Previous experience in an analytics leadership role and with a focus on marketing, sports marketing, sponsorship, financial modelling and/or economics. • An ability to maintain a strategic perspective for the Commercial Analytics team, whilst ensuring the consistent deliverables schedule. • Ability to create easily digestible but compelling presentations for non-technical audiences that effectively demonstrate the identified sales narratives. • An in-depth understanding of why companies / brands invest in sports marketing is essential and will involve experience with the following types of data. • Excellent analytical skills linked to a well-refined commercial acumen that generates actionable business insights from data. • Skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g. Pivot tables or VBA etc.), correlation analytics and /or regression analysis.
