You are an experienced and highly credible Sales Manager who specialises in B2B event sponsorship & exhibition sales.

You'll be leading a passionate and driven team in achieving their targets, and encouraging their development.

Your proven success for hitting targets in a fast-paced environment means you have a solid record of exceeding sales targets through combining new business sales with repeat business.

At a pivotal point in the development of our GRC Events team, this new role is essential to enable the continued development of a junior sales team and driving double digit growth across all revenue lines - sponsorship, conference ticket sales, marketing solutions and awards table sales.

As our Events Sales Team Leader you will be responsible for:

  • Taking ownership to drive the sales team's targets and also delivering your own sales number.
  • Leading on the acquisition of new sponsorship and exhibition accounts, securing high-value portfolio sales.
  • Supporting the team to establish an account management approach within sponsorship and exhibitions.
  • Leading and developing the Events sales team.
  • Embedding KPIs and sales processes.
  • Developing a high performing sales team that thrive in a high-pressure environment
  • Accurately forecasting, mitigating risks and delivering sales targets.
  • Strong ability to create value and build long-term relationships that benefit both our events and the brand.

In order to be successful in this role you must have / be:

  • Proven business development skills and a client-centric focus.
  • Ability to inspire and lead a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to achieving & exceeding targets, and securing new business.
  • Strong experience in sponsorship and exhibition sales, with a commercial understanding of attendee revenue streams.
  • Comfortable working on launch events, potentially in launch markets where the business has no prior history of running events.
  • Proficiency in using Salesforce.
  • Experience of embedding KPIs and processes, driven by data in your decision-making.
  • A consultative sales approach

In order to be successful in this role it would be great if you had:

  • Experience of working in a brand-environment.
