A leading organisation within the power transmission sector is seeking an Internal Sales Engineer to join its Sales Team. This is a fully office-based role located in West Yorkshire and you will be given training and shadow people for the first 8 weeks.
Job Description
As part of the internal sales team, you will act as the first point of contact for incoming telephone enquiries. You will be responsible for preparing quotations and providing technical assistance to a broad customer base, including OEMs, end users, and distributors.
Role Responsibilities
This position is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong technical mindset. Key duties include:
Preparing quotations using a cloud-based CRM system
Providing internal sales support to external Account Managers
Offering product guidance and technical assistance to customers worldwide
Selecting suitable products based on customer requirements and application data
Ensuring all quotations are completed within KPI-driven lead times
Entering orders into an ERP system
Progress-chasing outstanding orders
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in an engineering environment, preferably within power transmission, and will demonstrate:
Excellent customer service skills
A confident and professional telephone manner
Previous experience in a technical sales office
Ability to work to deadlines
Professional conduct at all times
Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft applications
