Our client is a well-established, family-run organisation with a long-standing reputation for supplying high-quality technical consumables to the printing, packaging, and converting industries. With decades of industry expertise, they are known for their specialist products, outstanding technical knowledge, and exceptional customer service.

Their product portfolio includes rubber rollers and sleeves, precision engineering services, offset rubber blankets and coating plates, chemistry and cleaning consumables, and a wide range of specialist technical consumables and equipment.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual looking to build a long-term career in sales and account management within a specialist industrial sector.

Based full-time at our client's Reading office and reporting to the Head of Sales, you will receive comprehensive training on products, systems, and the industry. As your knowledge and confidence grow, you will take on greater responsibility managing customer relationships and developing new business opportunities. Over time, the role will evolve into a more customer-facing position, including client visits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling incoming sales enquiries
  • Preparing and issuing customer quotations
  • Supporting and upselling to existing customers
  • Prospecting and developing new business opportunities
  • Communicating with customers via telephone and email
  • Building strong technical product knowledge
  • Supporting colleagues within operations and field sales

About You

Our client is looking for a proactive and driven individual who is keen to develop a career in technical sales.

You will ideally have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation abilities
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Commercial awareness and an entrepreneurial mindset

Salary & Benefits

  • £27,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • Salary progression based on training and performance
