Responsibilities and duties of the Sales Engineer role

Reporting to the National Sales Manager you will:

• Prepare quotations and tender documents for the company's Power Switching & Monitoring product ranges.
• Represent the company at pre- and post-tender meetings.
• Attend pre-delivery project meetings as the company's technical representative.
• Support post-delivery project activities, including commissioning, training, and handover.
• Use software (CRM, Support Line) to maintain high technical support service levels.
• Provide on-site technical expertise in fault finding, commissioning, and support alongside the CIM team.
• Deliver internal and external technical training for sales teams, CIM, system integrators, and key customers.
• Identify new business opportunities and prepare and follow up on quotations.
• Gather and communicate customer technical requirements to support product and service improvements.

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Degree in electrical/electronic engineering or HND in electrical engineering preferred or Electrical Trade qualification

• Technical knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems, energy monitoring, automation/SCADA, IT networks.
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Commercial awareness and ability to influence stakeholders
• Good organisational and time management skills

• Understands energy systems, can engage consultants, and is comfortable managing the full sales cycle-from specification to closing deals.
