Description: We are recruiting for a highly motivated New Car Sales Manager to join our client's reputable dealership in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Our client, a large multi-franchise-approved car dealer group operating since 1994, is seeking a New Car Sales Manager to lead and develop their sales team. The successful Car Sales Manager will be responsible for driving new vehicle sales, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and ensuring dealership targets are consistently met. Duties as a Car Sales Manager will include:
  • Lead, motivate and develop the new car sales team to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Drive new vehicle sales and maximise profitability
  • Manage customer enquiries from initial contact through to vehicle delivery, ensuring high rates of conversion
  • Maintain exceptional standards of customer service and satisfaction
  • Monitor stock levels, vehicle presentation, and merchandising standards
  • Ensure effective delivery of finance and insurance products, contributing to dealership profitability
  • Recruit, mentor and develop team members for continuous growth
  • Build relationships within the local community to generate new business opportunities
  • Produce accurate sales reports and ensure compliance with manufacturer and company standards
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in car sales management within a franchise-approved dealership is highly desirable
  • Alternatively, experienced Business Managers or Sales Controllers seeking career progression will be considered
  • Must reside in or near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, with reasonable commuting distance
  • Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, visible management style
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and highly motivated with a passion for delivering excellence
  • Full UK driving licence with minimal points
