c£50K plus car/car allowance and bonus

Our client, a market-leading business within the Hire, Construction, Plant, or related sectors, is seeking an ambitious and commercially focused Area Sales Manager to join their successful sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional to take ownership of a thriving territory, develop existing customer relationships, and drive new business growth across Milton Keynes and the surrounding region.

The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding market presence, delivering exceptional customer service, and identifying opportunities to increase revenue and profitability within their designated area.

• Develop and manage a portfolio of existing customer accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
• Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within your territory.
• Build strong relationships with decision-makers across a range of industries including construction, plant hire, industrial, manufacturing, and related sectors.
• Work closely with the Sales Support and Operations teams to deliver outstanding service and customer solutions.
• Conduct regular customer visits, maintaining a visible presence within your territory.
• Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations and proposals.
• Negotiate agreements and close sales opportunities effectively.
• Monitor market activity, competitor movements, and industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activity, and pipeline development through the company's CRM system.
• Ensure a seamless customer journey from initial enquiry through to delivery and ongoing account management.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience in an Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, Account Manager, or Territory Sales role.
• Experience within the Hire, Construction, Plant, Tool Hire, Industrial, Building Products, or related industries would be highly advantageous.
• A proven track record of developing new business and growing existing accounts.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify customer needs and provide effective solutions.
• Self-motivation with the ability to work independently while managing your own territory.
