Overview An excellent opportunity for an experienced Customer Success Account Manager to really make a positive impact for the continued success of the company. My client is a rapidly growing SME, focused on being a market leader within online subscription service within the Automotive sector. Role Purpose of a Customer Success Account Manager The Customer Success Account Manager is responsible for driving engagement and retention of existing customers. This role owns proactive, relationship-led account management, helping them get more value from the platform and perform better as a result. Initially, this role will also lead the transition of existing clients onto our new subscription-based model, ensuring a smooth changeover and continued engagement throughout. Core Focus Proactive, relationship-led support that helps customers perform better - spotting opportunities and risks early and acting on them before they affect performance. Key Responsibilities Own account management and onboarding, identifying opportunities to improve their performance on the platform Lead the transition onto the new subscription-based model, supporting a smooth and well-communicated changeover Review account performance regularly and identify areas for improvement, agreeing next steps with each customer Encourage best practice across responsiveness, pricing, job handling and customer experience Spot early signs of disengagement or underperformance and intervene before they become retention risks Action feedback from the Customer Operations team, developing and delivering action plans that improve garage success and retention Feed insight, trends and risks back to your line manager to inform wider network strategy Build strong, trust-based relationships with owners and managers, positioning my client as a genuine growth partner Support the wider Customer Success team in embedding a proactive, relationship-led way of working with the network Feedback key findings, updates and blockers to the Senior Customer Performance & Retention Manager What Success Looks Like Quote rate and conversion rate improving and/or maintaining month-on-month within your account base Cancellation rate reducing month-on-month Consistent, high-quality account contact cadence maintained across your portfolio At-risk customers identified early and recovered, with actions tracked monthly Smooth, on-time transition of existing garages to the new subscription model About You Experience Experience in an account management, customer success or relationship management role, ideally within a marketplace, subscription or platform business A track record of managing a portfolio of accounts and improving performance or retention outcomes Comfortable working with performance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities Experience in automotive, aftermarket or a similarly regulated service industry is an advantage but not essential Skills & Attributes Excellent relationship-building skills, with the confidence to have honest, constructive conversations with garage owners Proactive and self-directed - comfortable spotting issues and opportunities without being told to look Strong communicator, able to translate feedback between garages and internal teams clearly and constructively Organised, with the discipline to manage a structured account review cadence across a varied portfolio Commercially minded, with genuine interest in helping small businesses grow | |
