Regional Sales Manager - Slice & Pack

Location: Regional - covering England, Scotland & Wales
Salary: £60,000-£70,000 + uncapped commission
Benefits: Company car or car allowance

We're looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager with a strong background in capital equipment sales within the food processing or food packaging industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands the slice and pack environment and can combine technical solution selling with strong relationship management and business development. Experience working with slicing, portioning, loading, packing or associated food production technologies is particularly important for this position, ideally within meat, poultry, cheese or prepared food environments.

Regional Sales Manager Role Overview:

You'll take responsibility for developing business across England, Scotland and Wales, managing and growing established customer relationships while also identifying new business opportunities across the territory.

This is a varied sales role combining account development and new business, where you'll work closely with customers to understand their production requirements, identify opportunities for capital equipment and integrated solutions, and manage projects through the full technical sales cycle.

Regional Sales Manager Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and growing key customer accounts
• Identifying new customers, projects and capital equipment opportunities
• Building strong relationships with production, engineering, operations and procurement teams
• Conducting customer site surveys and process reviews
• Managing technical and commercial proposals
• Supporting equipment demonstrations, trials and customer visits
• Managing your sales pipeline, CRM information and forecasting
• Supporting commercial negotiations and project handovers
• Attending relevant exhibitions and industry events
• Travelling regularly throughout the UK territory, with occasional European travel

Regional Sales Manager Skills, Experience & Attributes:

You'll be an experienced technical sales professional who is comfortable selling capital equipment and solutions into food manufacturing environments.

Ideally, you will have:

• Proven capital equipment sales experience within food processing or food packaging
• Direct knowledge of slicing and packing processes or equipment, including areas such as slicing, portioning, loading and packing
• Experience within sectors such as meat, poultry, cheese or prepared foods
• A strong track record across both account management and new business development
• Experience managing longer and more complex technical sales cycles
• A consultative, solution-led approach to sales
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills
• Confidence communicating with operational, engineering and technical stakeholders
• Good CRM and Microsoft Office skills
• The ability to manage your own regional territory independently
• Experience selling integrated production lines, automation systems or wider food production technologies would be particularly advantageous.
