Key Account Manager

An exciting newly created opportunity for an experienced Key Account Manager to join a successful and growing pest control and wildlife management business, looking after major customers while developing new business across the UK. Our client is part of a global group, offering substantial growth opportunities in the UK.

This is far from a standard pest control business. Alongside traditional pest management services, the company delivers a range of specialist and innovative solutions, including falconry-based bird control, wildlife management and environmental services, providing customers with effective and responsible solutions to complex pest and wildlife challenges. It positions itself as an ethical alternative to traditional extermination-focused pest control by emphasizing wildlife behaviour, prevention, and sustainable management solutions.

We re looking for a commercially driven Key Account Manager who can build strong relationships across large, complex and multi-site accounts (5-6 initially), engage confidently with senior decision-makers and identify opportunities to grow both existing and new business.

The role is home based with candidates ideally living in the Midlands or South of England, with regular travel to customer sites.

The Role

• Manage and develop a portfolio of major, complex and multi-site customer accounts
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders and key decision-makers
• Develop strategic account plans to increase revenue, retention and profitability
• Identify opportunities to introduce additional pest control, wildlife and specialist services
• Work closely with operational and technical teams to deliver innovative customer solutions
• Lead commercial reviews, presentations, tenders and contract negotiations
• Develop new business opportunities and convert prospects into long-term customers
• Maintain a strong sales pipeline and deliver against agreed growth targets
• Represent a broad range of services, including pest management, falconry, bird control and specialist wildlife solutions

The Candidate:

We re looking for an experienced Key Account Manager, National Account Manager or Business Development Manager with a strong commercial / industrial background.

Experience within pest control would be particularly attractive, although candidates from related facilities management, environmental services, hygiene, washroom, compliance or other B2B service industries will also be considered.

You ll need to demonstrate:

• Experience managing large or complex B2B accounts
• Strong new business and account development skills
• Ability to build relationships at senior management level
• Commercial confidence with contracts, pricing and negotiations
• Experience working alongside operational/service delivery teams
• A proactive, results-focused approach with the ability to work autonomously
• An interest in providing customers with innovative and specialist service solutions

Salary up to £45,000 + Bonus (OTE c£60-65K) + Company Car + Excellent Benefits
