Value Added Recruitment is working with an established and highly regarded Managed Service Provider (MSP) experiencing continued growth across the Midlands. As a result, we are looking to recruit an experienced IT Account Manager to join our successful commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused technology sales professional who enjoys building long-term client relationships, identifying opportunities, and helping businesses maximise their investment in IT solutions and services.

Working alongside a talented technical team, you will manage an established portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted advisor while driving additional revenue through strategic account development.

The Role

As an IT Account Manager, you will be responsible for nurturing and developing existing customer relationships, identifying opportunities for additional services, and helping clients plan their future IT requirements.

You will work closely with technical consultants and support teams to deliver outstanding service whilst ensuring clients receive the most appropriate technology solutions for their business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of existing IT MSP clients
• Build trusted relationships with key decision makers
• Identify and close opportunities for additional products, services and managed solutions
• Conduct client meetings and onsite account reviews
• Prepare proposals, quotations and business cases
• Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver customer solutions
• Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention

About You

We are looking for a driven, ambitious and commercially focused account manager who thrives in a client-facing environment.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years' experience in IT Account Management, IT Sales or MSP Account Management
• Experience selling managed services, IT support, cloud solutions, cybersecurity or infrastructure solutions
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies and business software solutions
• Proven ability to develop existing accounts and generate additional revenue
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
• Experience presenting proposals and negotiating contracts
• Full UK driving licence
