Internal Sales Executive

We are recruiting for an Internal Sales Executive to join a busy and growing commercial team based in Peterborough.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, developing business opportunities and delivering excellent customer service. The role combines elements of internal sales, account management and business development, offering plenty of variety and the chance to make a real impact.

Working closely with colleagues across sales and customer service, you'll support existing customers, identify new opportunities and help drive revenue growth.

The Role

• Developing and nurturing relationships with existing and prospective customers
• Identifying and qualifying new business opportunities
• Managing customer enquiries and preparing quotations
• Following up opportunities and converting them into sales orders
• Proactively promoting products and services to customers
• Maintaining accurate customer information and sales activity on the CRM system
• Building and managing a healthy sales pipeline
• Working closely with colleagues across multiple departments to ensure excellent customer outcomes
• Providing regular updates on sales activity, opportunities and customer feedback

The Individual

• Previous experience in an internal sales, account management or business development role
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A proactive and commercial approach to sales
• Experience using CRM systems
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• A positive, customer-focused attitude
• Experience within manufacturing, engineering, distribution or a technical sales environment would be an advantage
