Title: Account Manager - Personal Care

Location: Remote, occasional requirement on site in the South West

Salary: 30,000 - 55,000 (dependent upon experience) + benefits

Term: Permanent

SRG is working with a leading personal care ingredient distributor in the South West, who offer a wide range of innovative raw materials to manufacturers and brands in the UK and European personal care market. Having recently been acquired by a multi-national organisation, this company offers the backing of a large organisation with a small enough commercial team to make a genuine impact.

With a big focus on in-house formulation development and innovation, they are now looking for an Account Manager to join them and drive sales of their product portfolio. Adopting a value-based sales approach, you will travel extensively across the UK, meeting customers to continually develop and grow customer relationships across personal care innovators, brands and manufacturers.

This would be an amazing opportunity for a Chemistry graduate looking to utilise their degree outside the lab and pivot into a customer-facing, commercial role, or for an experienced Account Manager in the personal care industry to develop their career further.

Role / Description

• Building existing customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and ultimately look to increase account spend
• Travelling approximately 1/3 of your time across the UK to visit customer sites
• Promoting the company's product portfolio of innovative, sustainable active ingredients
• Generating leads to identify new potential customers in your region
• Identifying, contacting and developing new business using a variety of methods
• Maintaining and updating the database to build a customer pool
• Keeping abreast of product development & trends in the personal care industry.
  
  

Requirements

• Direct experience in consultative and technical sales of personal care raw materials
• Or experience working as a Formulation Chemist in the personal care industry looking to pivot into a commercial role
• Degree-level qualified (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Biology or a closely related subject
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• Willing, able and excited to travel 1/3 of your time across the whole of the UK
• A proactive approach and drive to deliver exceptional customer service
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
