Lift Estimator / Technical Sales Manager

Here at White Lift Services, we're looking for a Lift Estimator/Project Manager to join our growing team. This is a pivotal role within the business, combining technical lift-industry expertise with commercial awareness to identify, assess and secure new lift installation and modernisation projects. You'll work closely with clients, consultants, engineers and internal teams to deliver accurate proposals and support successful project delivery from tender stage through to handover.

This opportunity would suit an experienced Lift Estimator, Lift Engineer or Project Engineer who has a strong understanding of new lift installations and modernisation projects and is looking to further develop their career within a commercially focused role.

You will take ownership of conducting site surveys, assessing project requirements, preparing detailed estimates and quotations, and identifying new business opportunities. The role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and the ability to develop lasting client relationships while working collaboratively with operational and project teams.

This role offers hybrid working with visits to our office in Leeds when required with travel to client sites predominantly throughout the North of England with some nationwide travel.

Here's a look at some of the things you'll be doing:

• Preparing and submitting competitive tenders and quotations for new lift installations and modernisation projects, reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation to accurately identify project requirements and costs
• Conducting comprehensive site surveys on refurbishment and new installation projects, assessing existing lift equipment, building layouts, structural requirements and electrical configurations to develop technically compliant solutions
• Producing detailed cost estimates covering labour, materials, manufacturing, logistics, project management and installation activities, while collaborating with engineers and operational teams to ensure proposals are accurate, deliverable and commercially viable
• Identifying and developing new business opportunities through tender portals, lift consultants and property-sector organisations, whilst supporting existing clients, securing modernisation projects within the maintenance portfolio and contributing to new maintenance contract opportunities

Can you show experience in some of these areas:

• Proven experience within the lift industry preparing estimates and quotations for modernisation projects and all major new lift types, including passenger, goods and platform lifts
• Strong technical knowledge of lift mechanics, control systems, structural layouts, lift regulations and modernisation specifications, with the ability to undertake site surveys and technical assessments confidently
• Excellent analytical and commercial skills, including experience using estimating software, tender portals and cost modelling to produce accurate and competitive submissions
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities with experience liaising with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders, supported by excellent written and verbal presentation skills
