Business Development Manager

Location: Norwich
Salary: Dependent on experience + uncapped commission
Hours: Monday Friday, 8:30am 5:00pm

Straightforward Recruitment are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team in Norwich.

This is a target-driven, field-based sales role focused on developing new business, converting prospects and building strong, long-term client relationships.

We are looking for someone who is confident, commercially focused and motivated by results, with a proven track record of winning new business.

• Identify and develop new business opportunities

• Generate leads through proactive sales and business development activity

• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients

• Conduct face-to-face client visits and develop opportunities across the local area

• Manage your own sales pipeline from initial contact through to conversion

• Convert prospects into new clients and develop long-term accounts

• Meet and exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs

• Maintain regular contact with clients to identify further opportunities

• Represent the business professionally and build a strong local presence

We are looking for a proven salesperson and relationship builder who is motivated by achieving targets and growing a client base.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience in business development, sales or recruitment

• Previous experience within the industrial sector would be advantageous

• Recruitment experience is preferred, but not essential

• A demonstrable track record of winning and converting new business

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Confidence in a field-based, client-facing sales environment

• A proactive and self-motivated approach

• The drive and resilience to work towards and exceed targets

• A full UK driving licence

Experience within recruitment and/or the industrial sector would be preferred; however, we will consider candidates from other sales backgrounds where there is a proven track record of successful business development and new business conversion.

• Competitive salary based on experience

• Uncapped commission

• Full-time, Monday Friday position
