Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established engineering business with the recruitment of a Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager.

Permanent, full-time position based in Glasgow.

Salary

£35,000 - £40,000 + Bonus, depending on experience + company car / car allowance + additional benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities across industrial and engineering markets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
• Understand customer specifications and recommend suitable technical solutions
• Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals
• Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to identify the best equipment options
• Provide product knowledge and technical support to customers
• Manage customer accounts from initial enquiry through to order completion
• Work closely with internal teams to achieve sales and business growth targets
• Support projects across sectors including manufacturing, quarries, oil & gas, biomass and food & beverage
• Identify opportunities to increase sales across the region

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience within technical sales, engineering sales, business development or account management
• Strong mechanical engineering knowledge
• Good understanding of rotating equipment such as motors, geared motors, pumps or similar equipment would be advantageous
• Strong commercial awareness and customer-focused approach
• Confident preparing proposals and presenting technical solutions
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Mechanical Engineering qualification or similar would be advantageous
• Experience selling into industrial or manufacturing environments would be beneficial
• Full UK driving licence preferred
