We are recruiting for an Area Sales Manager to join our client, a growing business operating within the video telematics and vehicle tracking industry. They provide technology that helps businesses improve driver safety, protect vehicles and assets, reduce operating costs and manage their fleets more efficiently.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced B2B sales professional to join a growing team and take ownership of their own territory. You ll be responsible for developing new business, meeting customers face-to-face and introducing businesses to a range of innovative fleet technology solutions.

You ll manage the full sales process from identifying new opportunities through to closing the deal, while building long-term relationships with customers and growing your own pipeline.

As an Area Sales Manager you will need to have/be:

• Proven B2B field sales experience
• Strong new business development experience
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to winning new business
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers and decision-makers
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to manage your own diary and territory

Details:

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + OTE £50,000

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm

Location: Markfield, LE67 9TW

Duration: Permanent

Role of Area Sales Manager

• Generating new business through prospecting, networking, referrals and cold calling
• Arranging and attending face-to-face customer meetings
• Demonstrating video telematics, vehicle tracking, dash cameras and fleet management solutions
• Building long-term relationships with fleet operators and key decision-makers
• Understanding customer requirements and recommending suitable solutions
• Preparing tailored quotations and proposals
• Managing the full sales cycle from lead generation through to contract completion
• Managing your own sales pipeline and territory
• Achieving and exceeding monthly sales targets and KPIs
• Maintaining accurate CRM records and sales forecasts
• Keeping up to date with industry trends, competitor activity and emerging technology

Desirable:

• Experience selling video telematics, vehicle tracking, fleet management software, dash cameras, GPS tracking, transport technology or SaaS/subscription-based solutions
• Experience selling into logistics, transport, construction, utilities or commercial fleets
