Are you a natural relationship builder who enjoys getting out there, meeting people and bringing in new business?

We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a successful, well-established motor group in the Crawley area.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the buzz of winning new business, building long-term relationships and making things happen.

You'll be working with local businesses, company directors and fleet customers, helping them find the right vehicles for their needs whilst developing new opportunities along the way.

The Role

This is a varied, hands-on position where you'll have plenty of opportunity to get out and about, build your own contacts and develop a strong customer base.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Finding and developing new business opportunities with local companies and business customers.
• Building relationships with business owners, directors and fleet decision-makers.
• Looking after existing accounts and identifying opportunities to grow them.
• Understanding customers' requirements and putting together suitable vehicle packages.
• Getting involved in local networking and building your presence within the business community.
• Managing enquiries and opportunities from initial contact right through to vehicle handover.
• Working closely with the wider sales team to ensure customers receive a great service.
• Keeping on top of your sales pipeline and working towards agreed targets.
• Developing opportunities through the company's broker network.

What We're Looking For

First and foremost, we're looking for someone who is confident, personable and genuinely enjoys dealing with people.

You'll need to be motivated, commercially minded and comfortable picking up the phone, arranging meetings and getting out there to generate business.

You'll have current experience of Business Development in Automotive Sales to be considered for this role.

You'll also need to be organised, self-motivated and able to manage your own workload.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who can build trust, spot opportunities and turn conversations into long-term business relationships.
