Adele Carr Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a well-established engineering and manufacturing business to recruit an Area Sales Manager for their growing Industrial Extraction division.

Our client specialises in the design and installation of industrial dust and fume extraction systems and safety solutions, supporting organisations across manufacturing, engineering and education sectors to maintain safe and compliant working environments.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for a driven and commercially focused sales professional to help expand their customer base and develop relationships across the UK.

This is a field-based technical sales role where you will work with customers across industrial sectors to identify opportunities and deliver tailored extraction system solutions.

The role will involve regular site visits, conducting surveys, identifying technical requirements and supporting the development of system proposals before handing projects over to the contracts and installation teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities across the UK industrial market
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing customers
  • Conduct site surveys and assess customer requirements
  • Support the design and proposal of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems
  • Prepare information for the quotation and project delivery process
  • Manage enquiries and sales opportunities from initial contact through to order
  • Work towards sales and profitability targets
  • Maintain accurate sales reporting and forecasting
  • Attend occasional meetings at the Warrington office
  • Represent the business at trade shows and industry events

About You

This role would suit someone with experience in technical, engineering or industrial sales who enjoys building relationships and developing solutions for customers.

You will be confident visiting customer sites, understanding their challenges and working with internal teams to deliver the right solution.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:

  • Technical or engineering sales
  • Industrial equipment or systems sales
  • HVAC, ventilation, filtration or extraction systems
  • Manufacturing or engineering sectors
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to achieve sales targets
  • Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
  • Ability to understand and discuss technical solutions with customers
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems
  • Experience selling into industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Relevant industry qualifications such as the BOHS P602 Proficiency Certificate in LEV Thorough Examination
