Macildowie are working exclusively with this client based in Heanor, Derbyshire, to recruit an Internal Sales Executive for a growing manufacturing and distribution business. The Role

As an Internal Sales Executive, you'll play a key role in supporting existing customers while proactively identifying opportunities to grow revenue across the customer base. Working closely with internal departments, you'll ensure orders are processed efficiently, quotations are followed up and customers receive an exceptional service throughout their journey.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines excellent account management or customer service skills with commercial awareness and confidence on the telephone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders, enquiries and quotations accurately and efficiently
  • Proactively follow up quotations and sales opportunities to maximise conversions
  • Develop strong relationships with existing customers and key accounts
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services
  • Manage customer enquiries and resolve issues effectively
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales pipeline information
  • Monitor customer activity and identify opportunities for growth
  • Work collaboratively with production, procurement, warehouse and finance teams
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements

You'll ideally have

  • Experience within an office-based sales support, account management, customer service, or internal sales role
  • Confidence building relationships and securing orders over the phone
  • Strong organisational and administration skills
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using CRM systems would be advantageous
  • Competent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word
