Location: Bilston, West Midlands / Field-Based
Salary: £30,000 basic + bonus

We are recruiting on behalf of an established food business for an experienced Sales Representative to join their commercial team, covering a West Midlands-based sales territory.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced B2B salesperson who is confident in the field, commercially driven and motivated by developing customer relationships and winning new business.

This is an experienced hire position and is not suitable for recent graduates or entry-level candidates.

As Sales Representative, you will take ownership of a defined territory across the West Midlands, developing existing accounts while actively identifying and converting new business opportunities.

You will be responsible for building strong customer relationships, understanding commercial requirements and driving sales growth across your patch.

The role would particularly suit someone with experience selling within food, meat or FMCG, although strong B2B field-sales experience from an associated sector will also be considered.

• Manage and grow an established customer base across the West Midlands.

• Identify, prospect and win new B2B customers.

• Build strong relationships with buyers, owners and key decision-makers.

• Develop existing accounts and maximize sales opportunities.

• Conduct regular face-to-face customer visits across your territory.

• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms.

• Work proactively against agreed sales targets and KPIs.

• Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurately report activity and opportunities.

• Keep up to date with customer, market and competitor activity.

• Take full ownership of your territory and sales performance.

• A proven track record in B2B field sales, with demonstrable evidence of consistently hitting or exceeding targets.

• Experience in food, meat or FMCG is highly desirable.

• Experience selling into foodservice, wholesale, retail or distribution would be particularly relevant.

• Strong new-business development and account-management experience.

• Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.

• Strong commercial awareness and a genuine sales mindset.

• Resilience, self-motivation and the ability to work independently.

• A confident and professional approach to customer-facing sales.

• Full UK driving license and own vehicle essential.

• The ability to cover a West Midlands-based sales patch.

• £30,000 basic salary
