Salary: Up to 55k basic + uncapped commission - OTE 100k+

Hours: Monday to Friday 9 am to 5.30 pm

About the position of Business Development Manager

If you're an experienced Internal BDM, Telephone BDM or specialist finance sales professional with a great understanding of bridging finance, this is an opportunity to step into a genuinely field-based role where you'll have the freedom to build your own broker network, develop new relationships and drive your own business.

We're looking for a self-starting, commercially driven individual who enjoys opening doors, building relationships and turning opportunities into completed business. You'll have an established lender and experienced internal teams behind you, but you'll be expected to own your territory, create your own opportunities and make things happen.

Covering East London, Kent and Essex, you'll spend three days a week in the market meeting brokers and introducers, with two days in the Hertfordshire office working closely with the wider team.

Responsibilities for the role of Business Development Manager:

• Build and maintain intermediary relationships to achieve business targets.
• Support brokers with bridging, development, and commercial finance enquiries.
• Assess and structure deals, generating terms and progressing applications.
• Proactively manage new, existing, and lapsed broker relationships.
• Keep intermediaries updated on products, criteria, and market trends.
• Deliver excellent service while ensuring accurate CRM management via HubSpot.

Experience and skills required for the role of Business Development Manager:

• Solid knowledge of bridging finance - essential
• Proven experience in B2B sales, business development or working with brokers/intermediaries
• A genuine hunter mentality, with the drive to prospect, open doors and create new relationships
• Confidence to pick up the phone, arrange meetings and proactively build your network
• A proven ability to develop relationships and convert opportunities into business
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify potential lending opportunities
• Resilience, persistence and the motivation to keep pushing when deals don't immediately convert
• Excellent communication, listening and negotiation skills
