CNC Sales Executive / Sales Engineer

Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Bonus + Company Phone & Laptop + Mileage Expenses

Are you an experienced CNC Sales professional looking for a new opportunity, or an engineer looking to take the next step into a customer-facing sales role?

We are working with an established engineering business based in Milton Keynes who are looking to add a CNC Sales Executive / Sales Engineer to their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with around 3 years' experience in CNC or machine tool sales, although candidates coming from a strong CNC machining or engineering background will also be considered.

The Role

This is a field-based, autonomous sales position, with a strong focus on getting out and visiting customers and developing long-term relationships.

You'll spend your time on the road visiting engineering and manufacturing sites, understanding customer requirements, identifying opportunities and providing the right CNC machinery and engineering solutions.

Importantly, you'll have full autonomy over how you manage your time. There is no expectation that you need to be constantly out on the road simply for the sake of it - if you are delivering results, developing relationships and hitting your targets, you'll have the freedom to manage your diary and decide where your time is best spent.

The role will involve a mixture of new business development, account management and technical sales, working closely with customers across the manufacturing and engineering sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing new and existing customer relationships

• Regularly visiting customer sites across the region

• Identifying and following up on new sales opportunities

• Understanding customers' CNC and machining requirements

• Providing technical advice and recommending suitable solutions

• Preparing quotations and managing sales opportunities through to completion

• Building long-term relationships with engineering and manufacturing businesses

• Managing your own diary and customer visits with a high level of autonomy

• Working closely with internal technical and engineering teams

• Keeping up to date with CNC machinery and manufacturing technologies

About You

Ideally, you will have around 3 years' experience within CNC sales, machine tool sales or technical engineering sales.

However, this isn't essential. We are also interested in speaking with candidates who have a strong CNC machining or engineering background and are looking to move into a sales-focused position.

You'll ideally have:

• CNC / machine tool experience

• An engineering or manufacturing background

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• A commercial mindset

• The confidence to speak with customers at all levels

• A full UK driving licence

• The willingness to travel to customer sites
