General Sales Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable and well-established car dealership in Weybridge, to appoint a highly motivated General Sales Manager.

This is an exceptional General Sales Manager opportunity for an experienced automotive sales professional to lead the sales team at a prestigious dealership and drive business growth within a premium brand environment.

The successful General Sales Manager will have the chance to shape the sales strategy, increase market share, and deliver outstanding customer experiences. This General Sales Manager role offers a competitive basic salary of up to £55,000 with an uncapped OTE of approximately £100,000. The working week is Monday to Friday, with only one in two Saturdays required, providing a good work-life balance.

Duties:

• Lead and motivate the sales team to consistently meet and surpass sales targets
• Develop and execute effective sales strategies to maximise revenue and market presence
• Manage daily operations of the sales department, ensuring high standards of customer service
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring an exceptional sales experience
• Monitor sales performance using key metrics and implement corrective actions as needed
• Oversee stock management for new and used vehicles, aligning with current market demand
• Collaborate with marketing departments to optimise promotional efforts
• Maintain compliance with manufacturer standards, FCA regulations, and internal policies

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a General Sales Manager or in a senior sales management role within the automotive sector
• Demonstrable leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Strong track record of developing and implementing successful sales strategies
• Sound knowledge of the motor trade sales process and customer service standards
• Data analysis skills to improve departmental performance
• Valid UK driving licence
