Salary: 32,000pa + Commission

The Role

We're working with a growing business looking to recruit a motivated and commercially minded Sales Executive to join its team in Windsor.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying new business opportunities and working in a varied, customer-facing role. You'll be involved in developing new customer relationships, supporting existing accounts and contributing to wider business growth.

The role also offers the opportunity to gain exposure to exhibitions, trade shows and international business events, providing valuable experience in networking, developing commercial contacts and representing the business professionally.

Working closely with the wider sales team, you'll support business development activities, engage with prospective customers and help manage opportunities throughout the sales process. You'll also have the opportunity to attend exhibitions and international events, helping to build connections and identify potential new business.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Researching prospective customers and identifying new business opportunities.
• Generating leads and supporting new business development activities.
• Contacting potential customers by telephone, email and LinkedIn.
• Building and maintaining relationships with prospective and existing customers.
• Responding to customer enquiries promptly and professionally.
• Preparing quotations, presentations and other sales-related documentation.
• Following up on enquiries, quotations and potential opportunities to help generate new business.
• Coordinating customer requests and liaising with internal colleagues to ensure information is accurate.
• Maintaining accurate customer records and keeping sales information up to date.
• Assisting with sales reports and monitoring the progress of opportunities.
• Attending exhibitions, trade shows and international business events to represent the business, develop contacts and explore new opportunities.
• Supporting customer meetings, networking activities and follow-up communications following events.
• Assisting with order coordination and keeping customers informed of progress.
• Developing product knowledge and an understanding of the wider market.
• Providing general administrative support to the sales team when required.

You'll ideally have:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A confident and professional telephone and email manner.
• The ability to build rapport and develop positive business relationships.
• A proactive approach to identifying opportunities and following up with customers.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Confidence using LinkedIn or other platforms to research and contact prospective customers.
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team.
• A willingness to attend exhibitions, trade shows and business events when required.

Experience and Qualifications

Previous experience in sales, business development, customer service, administration or another customer-facing role would be beneficial.

Experience using CRM systems, researching potential customers or supporting sales pipelines would be an advantage.

A qualification in business, marketing or a related subject would also be welcomed, although practical experience, enthusiasm and the right attitude are equally important.
