The Role
We are seeking an effective, driven, and results-oriented BMS Sales Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling Building Energy Management System (BEMS) solutions, including HVAC control systems and a range of energy-efficient building technologies. As a key member of our sales force, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth-working with clients across multiple sectors to deliver innovative BMS solutions that align with technical, operational, and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Identify and target potential customers across the commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, and public-sector markets. Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets. Conduct ongoing market research to identify new opportunities, emerging technologies, and competitor activity. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and demonstrations. Prepare quotations and negotiate pricing and contract terms to ensure both customer satisfaction and profitable sales outcomes.
Technical Consultation & Solution Design
Work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored BMS and HVAC control solutions. Provide technical expertise on building management systems and energy-efficient technologies. Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and tender documentation. Generate point lists, I/O schedules, and detailed project scopes. Assist in the design and configuration of BEMS solutions to ensure optimal performance, compliance, and energy savings. Produce cost estimates and technical documentation to support proposals and project delivery.
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders. Provide support throughout the entire sales cycle-including post-sales follow-up and customer service. Act as a key liaison between clients and internal engineering and delivery teams to ensure smooth project execution. Gather and monitor customer feedback to help improve service quality and customer experience.
Collaboration & Teamwork
Work closely with internal teams including engineering, project management, and marketing to align goals and support successful sales outcomes. Support marketing initiatives by contributing to case studies, technical content, sales materials, and promotional campaigns. Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, networking events, and industry forums.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self-motivated individual with a strong desire to succeed in a technical sales environment. You will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, along with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Essential Requirements: Strong interest in sales and business development within the BMS/controls industry Technical understanding of BMS, HVAC controls, or related building technologies Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong organisational and time-management skills
